NHS Providers responds to latest figures on adult social care
6 November 2024
Responding to the ADASS autumn 2024 survey, director of policy and strategy at NHS Providers, Isabel Lawicka, said:
"Access to social care is critically important, yet today’s findings show that the vast majority of directors of adult social care don’t feel confident that they can meet their duties on the budgets they have.
"The NHS and social care are two sides of the same coin. As the national direction of travel shifts towards the delivery of a 'neighbourhood health service' it is vital that we have a well-functioning, sustainable social care sector to work hand in hand with the NHS and wider system partners, delivering high quality care for all those who need it."
